Finals are over and summer vacation begins. I am so glad to be done with finals but it will be strange not having anything due. Perhaps now I can catch up on some of my knitting projects that have been set to the side because of a busy schedule.

A Package For Me!

I got this great kit from Lily of Flitwick of Slytherin. She gave me 100% baby alpaca yarn that she dyed, some great soap that her aunt made, a yummy smelling candle, an amazing bag, and chocolate. A very relaxing package, which is exactly what I needed because this week and next happen to be finals for me.

I got 3 skeins of black bamboo yarn, two skeins of black sock yarn, two skeins of yellow sock yarn, the Hufflepuff Pride Socks pattern, some Hufflepuff stitch markers, a mini skein of Opal's Harry Potter yarn in the Dumbledore colorway (which is perfect for my sock yarn blanket), two kinds of peppermint lip balm, six Twilight buttons, and there were some Every Flavor Beans but my sister's boyfriend ate them before I could get a picture. I love my package.

Professor Flitwick was having a terrible morning, and it wasn't even breakfast yet. Someone broke into the Charms classroom the night before, hid a Boggart in the closet, and set loose 269 doxies. How did he know there were 73 doxies? Because each one took a bite out of his hand as he tried to capture it, and Madame Pomfrey had to walking each wound separately. And comment annoyingly about how Professor Sprout would've had the room cleared out with 2 waves of a wand.

It took forever to get out of the infirmary, and by then Professor Flitwick was in a foul mood. Luckily, he knew how to improve it: by finding the culprits and making him, her or them pay. Professor Flitwick had overheard some students giggling in the hallways the other day about Mona Ravenscroft 's stash of doxy eggs, so he had a good idea of who to interrogate first. Unfortunately for him, but rather fortunately for Mona Ravenscroft, the common room password had recently been changed to Holyhead Harpies, so Professor Flitwick couldn't enter. The Fat Lady looked up from her portrait and laughed at the cursing, frustrated Professor.

The old Professor Flitwick would have thrown a hissy fit at being taunted by a mere portrait, and blasted the thing all the way into the 5th floor girl's bathroom. The new Professor Flitwick went to 15 weeks of Anger Management classes, punched a lot of pillows, and took up Crochet. And started subscribing to the Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes catalogue.

Professor Flitwick 's first class off the day was Charms with the 3rd year Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaw. It took them 2 hours to clean up after the entire carton of Decoy Detonators that went off and clung to their robes, schoolbooks, and any exposed flesh. The students all knew that Mona Ravenscroft was planning to do something in Charms to get Professor Flitwick, so everyone blamed her for the prank and gave her the cold shoulder for 17 days, until Andromedia Finch-Fletchley blew up the History of Magic classroom with a misplaced charm and became the new pariah-of-the-hour.
